Womb opens applications until October 15th

The acceleration and incubation program for entrepreneurs WOMB has already opened applications in four distinct sectors: Agro-food, Sea, Health & Nutrition and Tourism & Gastronomy. This is a program that aims to boost the creation of value-added startups and support the development of new businesses in disruptive enterprises on a global scale. Applications can be made here by October 15.

This is a cross-innovation program, promoted by a consortium created by a partnership between five entities of the Portuguese entrepreneurial ecosystem: Bluebio Alliance, DNA Cascais, Healthcare City, INOVISA and Tec Labs. In this program will join entrepreneurs and startups, national and international that will jointly develop their business models.

In addition to presenting their business proposals, participants will have to find solutions to the challenges proposed by the program through an innovative, multisectoral and disruptive approach. During the program, entrepreneurs still have the opportunity to validate their business with partners and customers.

This program is structured in three phases: innovation, acceleration and incubation. The first one lasts for six weeks, in which the teams of the selected projects, which will be about 35, undergo a process of restructuring the initial idea through design thinking techniques and the inputs of teams from other sectors. In the second phase, the TOP 20 undergoes a classic acceleration process, over five weeks. In the third and final stage, the Top 10 will be able to choose one of the incubators of the consortium and continue to develop its business for three months.

The best team in the program is awarded a prize money of 5,000 euros and the possibility to participate in the AESE-Business School GAIN Program. It will also deliver a collaboration prize of 2,500 euros and a sector premium that can reach 50,000 euros of investment.
