The Business Acceleration Programme – LISPOLIS IGNITE! – Is here, which aims to support startups in developing their business models, with exclusive access to training sessions and specialized mentoring.
In 2024, two editions were held, each with four intensive days of training and ending with a Demo Day. The 1st edition ended in April and the 2nd edition took place in October.
The 3rd edition is confirmed for October 2025.
The first edition of LISPOLIS Ignite came to an end on April 9, where we brought the community together to talk about innovation in the areas of sustainability and energy. We had an opening speech by António Dias Martins (Startup Portugal), heard brilliant pitches from startups ready to impact the ecosystem, learned the inspiring story of Filipe Reina Fernandes, founder of Windcredible, and his predictions for the future of the industry, and closed with the inspiring words of Nuno Caleia, from the Lisbon City Council.
The jury that had the difficult task of naming the winners were: Bruno Carvalho (D-Orbit), Luís Caldas de Oliveira (IST and iStartLab), Marcia Pereira (Bandora), Paulo Santos (ADENE), and Susana Viseu (BUSINESS as NATURE).
The winners of this edition were:
1st place: ANIMOB
2nd place: Bambu Bicycles
3rd place: Repete

The 2nd Edition took place in partnership with Healthtech Lisboa in October and focused on the Healthtech area.
It was an intensive four days (October 1, 3, 22, and 23), where tools to boost healthcare businesses were shared and topics such as Regulatory and Digital in Healthcare, Digital Transformation and Emerging Technologies in Healthcare, Finance for Healthcare Startups, and Structuring for Investments were addressed. It ended with Demo Day (October 30), with the presentation of the final projects and the award ceremony.
The jury that had the difficult task of naming the winners were: Purificação Tavares (Genetics Unilabs), Vítor Crespo (HealthTech Lisboa), Catarina Paralta (SGS), Luís Caldas de Oliveira (IST and iStartlab), and Joana Cardoso Vaz (Ophiomics).
The winners of this edition were:
1st Place: Healthtech Lisboa Award powered by LISPOLIS – Lampsy (€4,000)
2nd Place: SGS Award – Virtuleap (€3,000)
3rd Place: CNS Award – IMAGI Health (€2,000)
All prizes include mentoring hours by Healthtech Lisboa plus one year of incubation at the Lisbon Incubation and Development Center.

Applications are now open for the 3rd edition of the LISPOLIS IGNITE Acceleration Programme, which will focus on the health sector.
The programme’s objective is to support start-ups in developing their business models, with exclusive access to training sessions and specialised mentoring.
The programme will take place over four intensive days (28 and 29 October, and 4 and 5 November) focused on sharing tools to boost health businesses.
The topics covered include: regulatory and digital issues, digital transformation and emerging technologies, start-up financing, and investment structuring in the health sector. The Startups will also have the opportunity to participate in a Speedmentoring session with potential investors, leading corporations and universities.
The final event, Demo Day, will take place on the 27th of November, when the picthes developed during the bootcamp will be presented.
