Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how we treat the personal data entrusted to us and how a data subject can exercise his rights before LISPOLIS.

About Us

LISPOLIS is a private non-profit association established in 1991 to manage the Technological Park of Lisbon (PTL) and creating conditions for the success of all the installed companies. It is the preferred location for technological and innovative companies, with rooms for small, medium or large companies (from startup to multinational), Cowork spaces and Virtual and Brand Office services. It also has several spaces for events, from training rooms up to 30 people, to auditoriums for various types of events, from 60 to 500 people.

LISPOLIS Commitment The new Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 “General Data Protection Regulation” (GDPR), applicable from 25 May 2018, establishes rules regarding Data Protection of singular individuals in all member countries of the European Union. Taking into account the scope of action of LISPOLIS and the fact that we proceed to personal data processing, we assume a rigorous commitment in complying with said Regulation.

LISPOLIS declares that has implemented and will continue to implement measures of organizational and technical nature to guarantee the security of the personal data entrusted, with the aim of preventing its alteration, loss, processing and / or unauthorized access, depending on the technology current state, the nature of the stored data and the risks to which they are eventually exposed.

Responsible for Data Processing

LISPOLIS is the legal person responsible for the processing of personal data that is collected and which are processed and stored in an automated and non-automated way. Personal data we collect LISPOLIS collects data that is shown to be adequate, necessary and limited in relation to the purposes for which it is processed, and may collect the following types of personal data: • Identification Data • Contact Detais • Academic level of qualification and professional status • Bank and Financial Details

Within the scope of its activity, LISPOLIS collects data from the following entities:
• Customers, companies installled at LISPOLIS – personal data of employees and managers of these companies;
• Customers, Cowork at LISPOLIS – personal data of individuals who use this space;
• Potential Customers – personal details of those interested in LISPOLIS services;
• People interested in receiving information regarding LISPOLIS activities (by newsletters);
• Suppliers, companies suppliers of LISPOLIS – personal data of employees and managers of these companies;
• LISPOLIS employees and potential employees.

For which purpose we collect data

All data collected and processed by LISPOLIS is based on one of the following conditions of legitimacy: explicit consent; the execution of a contract; any pre-contractual steps and compliance with legal obligations; other possible conditions provided for in the legislation.

The main reasons why we collect personal data are the following:
• Management of applications for the use of workspaces at LISPOLIS facilities
• Commercial advertising of our services as the management association for the Technological Park of Lisbon (PTL) • Promotion and Invitation to events and/ or other initiatives of LISPOLIS
• Promotion of our Newsletters
• Negotiation of supply and service providing contracts
• Human Resources Management • Recruitment

In what contexts we communicate personal data

Your personal data may be accessed by third parties when LISPOLIS uses certain services by external entities. We ensure, however, that any subcontractor will process your data on our behalf, on our request and with the strict obligation to follow our instructions. The same subcontracting entities offer sufficient guarantees for the execution of technical and organizational measures to ensure that the processing of data meets the requirements of the applicable law and guarantees the security and protection of the rights of data subjects, under the terms of the subcontracting agreement established. In any situation involving the communication of data to third parties, LISPOLIS commits to take all reasonable measures to ensure the effective protection of the personal data processed.

How we protect data privacy

LISPOLIS commits to take all technical and organizational measures deemed necessary for the security and privacy of the data entrusted, protecting them against any form of improper or illegitimate processing and against any accidental loss or destruction. In order to guarantee the permanent awareness of our employees, we have also developed training actions, who undertake not to reveal to third parties or use, for purposes contrary to the law, any personal information of LISPOLIS Customers, Suppliers and Subscribers, whose knowledge comes from the exercise of their functions.

How long we keep your data

LISPOLIS treats and retains your data only for the period necessary to the pursuit or conclusion of the purposes to which has requested the data in the first place, with due regard for the maximum time required to comply with contractual, legal or regulatory obligations.

As a rule, and when there is a contract that legitimizes the processing of your data, LISPOLIS will keep the data as long as the contractual relationship or another that may be stipulated by the parties remains. After the conservation period has elapsed and as long as they do not fit into the situations mentioned above, LISPOLIS will proceed to the elimination of said data.

Data Subjects’ rights According to the current applicable legislation, there is a set of rights that, at any time, you can exercise with LISPOLIS:
• Access Right: right that allows you to obtain information regarding the treatment of your data and its characteristics.
• Rectification Right: right that allows you to request the rectification of your data, requiring that it is accurate and current, as, for example, when you consider that they are incomplete or out of date.
• Erasure Right (“right to be forgotten”): right that allows you to request the deletion of your data, when you consider that there are no valid grounds for its conservation, as long as there are no legitimate interests that prevail over your interests.
• Limitation Right: right that allows you to suspend or limit the treatment to certain categories of data or purposes.
• Portability Right: right through which you can request the sending of your data for later reuse.
• Opposition Right: right that allows you to oppose the processing of personal data for certain purposes, as long as there are no legitimate interests that prevail over your interests.

How to exercise your rights

You can exercise the rights described above upon formal request, by written email Identifying in the Subject of the email: “Data Protection” to the following email address – rgpd@lispolis.pt Any other means, recipients and / or absence of correct identification as mentioned above, LISPOLIS will not be required to respond under the GDPR. Under the terms of the current legislation, the data subject has the right to file a complaint regarding data protection, if it is in breach of personal data, with the competent supervisory authority – National Data Protection Commission (CNPD): www.cnpd.pt

Changes to this Privacy Policy LISPOLIS reserves the right, at any time, to make readjustments or changes to this Privacy Policy, these changes being duly publicized on this website.
