Seed Program from Start-Up Chile

With the aim of fostering entrepreneurship, the Chile Start-Up Seed Program is one of the initiatives promulgated by the Chilean Ministry of Economy and the CORFO Corporation to encourage startups with high global potential to develop. solutions in the country to be the starting point for internationalization. This program accelerates the early stages of entrepreneurship that will strengthen the business environment, helps shape Chile’s culture of innovation, and enables a direct connection with Latin America to grow from this region to the world.

 

Under the Seed Start-Up Chile Program, the grant of approximately US $ 71,000 is enforceable for a period of 6 months. It is intended for natural persons of any nationality, who are founders or holders in the execution of the candidate project.

 

Participating startups must have a working prototype and have less than 3 years of activity. During the 6-month period, selected companies access an acceleration process, up to $ 418,000 (300,000 Chilean pesos) convertible into computer tools and a free workspace for 9 months.

 

The Program also includes the provision of a 1-year Work Visa, which is subject to validation by the competent authority.

 

Applications may be submitted by August 27 at https://www.startupchile.org/es/programs/seed_es/ and must include a 90-second video pitch and a letter of recommendation. Applications will then be evaluated by innovation experts, in particular by some investors and entrepreneurs, in addition to the CORFO Enterprise Subcommittee.
