The Carnide Town Council won 4 projects of the Participatory Budget for Lisbon 2017, one of which was the most successful project: Carnide Cultural Pole, described as a “structure for presentation and training in different expressive and formative languages”.
The other two winning projects in the parish of Carnide were the Casa das Artes de Carnide and the children’s playground in the Horta Nova neighborhood. Carnide was thus the parish with more projects approved in this 10th edition of the Participatory Budget of Lisbon.
In 10 years, the Participatory Budget of the City Council of Lisbon received more than 62 thousand applications, which resulted in 7,500 proposals and 105 winning projects.
This year, the Participatory Budget received 434 proposals, which resulted in 128 projects (48 local and 80 Structural), which were voted on from October 17 to November 22, after reaching Technical Analysis by the municipal services. of 37 thousand votes of the citizens (37.673 votes).
On November 27, the Winning Projects were announced, in a public ceremony held in the Hall of the Town Hall.
