BIG Smart Cities 2017

The BIG smart cities by Vodafone Power Lab and Ericsson is an entrepreneurship competition that awards technology-based ideas that improve the lives of those who live, study, work or visit cities., In 5 areas: smart living, smart green, smart Government, smart inclusion and smart tourism. And the 5th edition started on April 17th, which means that from this date you can sign up!

This year, BIG smart cities has become even more BIG and will travel the country in search of the most innovative projects in the area of smart cities. The two best ideas per city will be awarded € 500 and direct access to the 20 finalists, so that they can then be developed in a pre-acceleration program.

So, prepare a sweeping pitch, sign up and join us at BIG city challenges, where, in addition to the prizes you can win, you have the opportunity to improve your project and perfect the business model through day mentoring Of the challenge.

4 THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT BIG SMART CITIES:

1. There are 2 ways to apply: through the form available at bigsmartcities.pt and / or participating in one of the BIG city challenges taking place in Porto, Braga, Coimbra, Évora and Lisbon.
2. Your idea should fit into one of the following areas of opportunity: Smart Living, Smart Mobility, Smart Tourism, Smart Inclusion and Smart Green.
3. Of the 20 finalists BIG smart sities will be selected a winner who receives € 10,000, 6 months incubation at Vodafone Power Lab and a trip to meet an innovation pole of Ericsson in Europe.
1. After the pre-acceleration phase, the 20 finalists will be able to test their pilots in experimental cities, in real environment. A unique opportunity you will not want to miss!
