Applications are open until July 15 for the Blue Bio Value Acceleration Program, which seeks scalable solutions that represent an opportunity in the value chain of marine biological resources.
Projects based on biotechnology or other technologies are eligible, as long as they present market applications in different sectors and aim to help face global social challenges, such as feeding the world population, sustainable food systems, improving health and well-being. populations or mitigation and adaptation to climate change.
Since its launch in 2018, the Blue Bio Value program has accelerated a total of 28 companies of 15 different nationalities. 2020 marks the 3rd edition of the Blue Bio Value start-up acceleration program and the 1st edition of its new Ideation Sprints, which aim to bridge the gap between academic research and the market. This program is developed by Fábrica de Startups and by Bluebio Alliance and has the support of the Oceano Azul Foundation and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation.
