11th edition of DNA Cascais Ideas and Business Contest

The 11th edition of the DNA Cascais Ideas and Business Contest – CINC, is an initiative that aims to capture business ideas and facilitate access to funding sources, promoting innovative projects in areas and sectors of activity with strong growth potential, namely : Environment / Energy / Sea, Social Entrepreneurship, Information and Communication Technologies, Health and Tourism / Commerce / Services.

 

 

It is aimed at newly created companies or authors of projects related to the areas of Environment / Energy / Sea, Social Entrepreneurship, Information and Communication Technologies, Health and Tourism / Trade / Services.

 

 

The winners are selected based on the following criteria:

  • Degree of innovation of the idea;
  • Feasibility of the idea;
  • Economic, social and environmental impact in the sectors of activity;
  • Adequacy of curricula and involvement of promoters in the realization of the idea.

 
Under this tender, the winning project receives a prize in the amount of 5,000 euros to realize part of the capital of the new company or to reinforce the company, if it already exists. The finalists are also supported in the elaboration of business plans and risk mitigation, investor capture and have preference of installation in the Nest of Companies DNA.

 

 

In its 10 years of existence, CINC has received 660 applications submitted by about 1800 participants.

In the 2017 edition, the applications are already open and run until March 31 at 8:00 p.m. Projects must be submitted in their own form and must comply with the CINC regulations.

 

 

They can be delivered in three ways:

  1. At the headquarters of DNA Cascais
  2. By registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt (the CTT stamp can not exceed the mentioned date)
  3. By electronic mail, to cinc@dnacascais.pt, provided that DNA Cascais confirms by email the receipt within the established deadline.
