The Labor Code and the New Labor Challenges

Although Portuguese labor legislation is usually described as excessively rigid, we find in our Labor Code schemes and mechanisms capable of giving greater flexibility to labor relations and, to that extent, of responding to some of the most relevant labor challenges of today.

 

 

In this session, we propose to address the main flexibility schemes and mechanisms in terms of recruitment, organization of working time, remuneration and functional and geographical mobility.
