World Summit Awards 2018

The World Summit Awards (WSA) is a UN initiative since 2003 that aims to select and promote local digital innovation, predicting its impact on society and rewarding the best projects worldwide.

The advantages of the winners of this initiative are:

  • to participate in the exhibition space at the 28th APDC Congress (26th and 27th Sept, CCB),
  • disseminate their proposal / solution in national media and gain international visibility by competing with the best of around 180 countries
  • Apply to the Born from Knowledge (BfK) award, a partnership with ANI – Agência Nacional de Inovação, whose objective is to recognize the best projects that result from research and development activities. The BfK winner can participate in the WSA Global Congress 2019 participant mode with trips and stays supported by the ANI, even if it is not the national WSA finalist project.
