The European Data Incubator (EDI) is looking for 35 SMEs and high potential startups to join an incubation program financed by the European Commission, with a € 5m fund and an 8-month duration: from August 2020 to April 2021 .
The program is open to startups from all over Europe operating in the Big Data market (regardless of the sector), being an interesting opportunity for Portuguese entrepreneurs to have direct access to the databases of large companies (EDI data providers) to develop new products and services.
Two of the companies providing data to the program are Portuguese: Sonae MC presents two challenges in the retail area, and Virtual Power Solutions seeks a solution to improve customer satisfaction in the area of energy networks. Startups can also solve challenges for companies like Volkswagen and EDP Spain, among other organizations.
