Biotech Week 2017

As part of the European Biotech Week, several events take place in Braga, Cantanhede and Lisbon, between September 25 and October 1, focusing on the debate on Biotechnology in Portugal. This initiative is promoted by the Portuguese Bio-Industries Association (P-BIO) and has the High Sponsorship of the President of the Republic.

 

On September 25, a session will be held at the International Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory (INL) in Braga with the theme "The interface between Bio and Nanotechnology", which will be attended by the Minister of Economy, Prof. Doctor Manuel Caldeira Cabral.

 

On September 26 there will be a session entitled "Strategies for sustainable biotechnology growth" at Biocant Park in Cantanhede, attended by Secretary of State for Industry, Prof. Ana Teresa Lehmann.

 

On September 28, Open Innovation Day will take place at the AESE Business School in Lisbon and will feature Dr. Hans GCP Schikan, former CEO of Prosensa, which will address a European perspective on biotechnology.
